Frequently asked questions

Where are you guys?

We are currently located in Jefferson Hall, on the north side of the University's campus. Come around back and you'll see our signs.

Can I reserve a costume?

Yes! If you leave your name, phone number, and in some cases a security deposit, we will happily hold the outfit for you! 

How much will it cost?

***All rentals require a $50.00 security deposit (refunded when the costume is returned) in addition to the rental fee.

Rentals can be paid by cash, check, debit, or credit; security deposits should be paid by cash or check.

2 person animals, Easter Bunnies & Santas (in season), Specialty Show costumes - $75.00/week

Adult - $55.00/week
High School - $45.00/week
6th - 8th Grade - $35.00/week

5th Grade and Younger - $30.00/ week

 

MU Alumni/Faculty/Staff - $50.00/week

MU Students - $35.00/week (need a valid MU ID)

MU Student class projects- discounted price

Do you rent to the community or do I have to be affiliated with Millersville?

You do NOT have to be affiliated with Millersville University to use our shop. Any member of the community is welcome to stop in and have a look around.

Do you only do theatre productions?

Nope! We do any sort of costume event you can think of! Parties, Corporate Events, Halloween, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and more!

What happens if I lose a costume piece?

If you can find an exact replacement for the piece, that is usually fine. However, if the item was vintage or otherwise hard to find, the replacement cost will be deducted from your security deposit. If the replacement is more than the deposit you may be asked to pay the difference as well. 

This piece is almost perfect! Can I add something to it?

Well, yes and no. You are more than welcome to sew on a patch or hem a skirt but PLEASE ABSOLUTELY NO CUTTING OR GLUING. Otherwise alteration is okay.

How long do I get my rental?

Typical rentals are for up to a week. Any longer and you will be charged half price for each additional week it's out.

I need a costume but I'm only available when you're closed! What do I do?

Give us a call and we'll see what we can do. We may be able to pull things for you if you have sizes, or we could possibly make a special appointment based on employee availability.
